Graphene-Based Functional Hybrid Membranes for Antimicrobial Applications: A Review

Graphene-based nanomaterials have shown wide applications in antimicrobial fields due to their accelerated rate of pathogen resistance and good properties. To apply graphene materials the test, are usually fabricated as two-dimensional (2D) membranes. In addition, improve efficiency, membranes modified with various functional nanomaterials, such nanoparticles, biomolecules, polymers, etc. this review, we present recent advances fabrication, tailoring, graphene-based implement goal, first introduce synthesis then fabrication 2D potential techniques chemical vapor deposition, vacuum filtration, spin-coating, casting, layer-by-layer self-assembly. Then, tailoring by adding metal oxide biopolymers, metal–organic frameworks, etc., graphene. Finally, focus on mechanisms membranes, demonstrate typical studies use for antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal applications. It is expected that work will help readers understand mechanism and, further, inspire design membranes/films biomedical
